Prenatal Yoga with a Twist
Join women of all levels of yoga experience and stages of pregnancy for this new series of weekly classes – free for a limited time.

Our certified instructor has more than 35 years of experience as a high risk obstetrics nurse and yoga instructor. The class meets every Wednesday 7-8:15 pm in Sarasota Memorial Hospital's Community Room, 1700 S. Tamiami Trail, second floor, next to the “C” elevators.

The Twist...In addition to yoga, each class will include a short discussion on topics of interest, such as nutrition & exercise during pregnancy, positions for labor, comfort measures during labor, etc. Bring your yoga mat if you have one – one will be provided if you don't.

If you are a cancer survivor, whether your cancer is cured, in remission, or you are living with it as a chronic disease, join us to learn about the region’s first STAR Certified Program for Cancer Rehabilitation – from physical, occupational and speech therapies to counseling and nutritional support, this nationally recognized program is considered the “gold standard” for cancer rehabilitation.

The event will be held Saturday, Dec. 6, 9 am-noon, at the Institute for Advanced Medicine, 5880 Rand Blvd, Sarasota.

• Wed., Nov. 19 (1-2:30 pm) - Footnotes will feature a discussion of the book The Stroke of Midnight: A Brain Attack by Robert Smith, with a discussion on Stroke Risk & Prevention led by Annette Freidhof, RN.
