SMH Milk Depot
Sarasota Memorial has opened a Milk Depot in association with the Mother’s Milk Bank of Florida to make it easier for local moms to donate their breast milk.

A mother’s own breast milk is always the best food choice for her newborn, but when mom’s milk isn’t available, breast milk donated by thoroughly screened donors is the next best option for fragile, sick and premature babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

If you are interested in learning how to donate your breast milk, join our mother-baby nurse educators in HealthConnection, 1-2 pm Wednesday, Aug. 5. HealthConnection is located on the first floor of the hospital near the B elevators.

Back to School Physicals
Summer is the perfect time for student athletes to have their exam – at least six weeks before the sports season begins to allow time to address any conditions or previous injuries that otherwise might force kids to sit out part of the season.

Sarasota Memorial offers $20 school sports physicals at its five urgent care centers (located in Sarasota, Venice and Manatee) throughout the summer. The centers are open 8 am-8 pm daily, including weekends and most holidays. No appointments necessary. Call (941) 917-7777 or visit smh.com/urgentcare for locations.
