Oktoberfest Celebration & Open House
Learn more about Sarasota Memorial Nursing & Rehabilitation Center at its free Oktoberfest Celebration & Open House, 11:30 am-2 pm, Thursday, Oct. 15. The event features a buffet of German food, door prizes, tours of the center, a bake sale and plenty of good cheer with German & Bavarian music and folk dancing.

2015 Walk to End Alzheimer’s
Walkers of all ages are invited to join the staff, family and friends of the SMH Memory Disorder Clinic team in a 3-mile walk over the Ringling Bridge (a shorter route also is available.).

The walk begins at 10 am Saturday, Oct. 10 (9 am registration), at J.D Hamel Park, 2 Marina Plaza, Sarasota. If you can’t participate in the walk, consider making a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association.

2015 Key to the Cure
To help raise money and awareness for women’s cancers, Saks Fifth Avenue has partnered with Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation, Inc. to host this annual charity shopping weekend Oct 15-18 at Saks Fifth Avenue at The Mall at University Town Center. A percentage of the proceeds will benefit Sarasota Memorial’s Cancer Care Programs.

To kick off the shopping weekend, Saks will host a special event Thursday, Oct. 15, 5:30-9 pm, featuring gourmet food, beverages, entertainment, shopping and an exclusive “key event” unlocking wonderful treasures!

15th Annual Community Caregiving Forum
FREE education program for caregivers and professionals (CEUs available) on Friday, Nov. 6, 10 am-2:30 pm, in Sarasota Memorial Hospital’s first floor auditorium, 1700 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota.
