FHA Installs New Board Members, SMH CEO Appointed Vice Chair,Chair-Elect

SARASOTA (Nov. 1, 2013)  – The Florida Hospital Association installed the 2013-2014 executive officers and trustees during its Annual Meeting in October.

SMH CEO Gwen MacKenzieMark Robitaille, President/CEO of Martin Health System was named chairman, while Sarasota Memorial CEO Gwen MacKenzie was elected vice chair and chair-elect. MacKenzie, CEO of the region's only public hospital, has served on the FHA Board of Trustees, FHA Advocacy Committee, Workforce Committee and Strategic Planning Committee since November 2006, shortly after her arrival in Sarasota. In her current position, she will serve on the FHA Executive Committee and is charged with setting policy and strategic priorities for the 238 member association. She also is in line to assume the top leadership position for the state advocacy association next year.
